Murray Hill Vineyard
A few weeks after moving to Vermont in 2019, I went out with a crew to pick a vineyard site my then employer managed. I was instantly in love. For years, I returned to walk the vineyard and dream about what could be. When I heard the vines were no longer being managed, and were possibly going to be torn out, I approached the landowner to take over the management.
The vineyard was planted in 2005. The site is unbelievable; gentle slope, Nellis loam soil, and western exposure. The 1.75 acres are planted with Marquette, Prairie Star, Frontenac Gris, La Crescent, Sabrevois, and Frontenac Noir.
